Recently the credit freeze has had effects on every area of the economy, including small businesses. Small business owners and entrepreneurs, both those in the business and those who are trying to make a fresh start after losing their jobs, are out of money and energy. They are looking to the government for help.
With the formation of his stimulus package, President Barack Obama is clearly hoping that he will give the financial assistance needed to get small businesses to act in a way that will boost the failing economy. The president has assured Americans that he is going to make sure credit is given to entrepreneurs and business owners. His administration believes that small business is the key to the economic recovery as they create about 70% of new jobs each year.
The stimulus package, officially the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, became law on Feb. 17, 2009. It involves spending $787 billion in incentives and tax cuts with the goal being to kick-start economic growth and create new jobs in the next three years.
Obama has shown that he is committed to small businesses, increasing the budget of the Small Business Administration by 100% and giving out over $6 billion in small business loans since the package went into effect. Recently it has been suggested that bailout funds earmarked for banks may be diverted to small businesses. This would surly signal a shift in focus.
Many of our clients, having read about the plan in the newspaper or having heard about it on the T.V., are ready to accept the government’s promise. Legal professionals will have to help them sort through the messages and find the facts in order to help evaluate the pros and cons of the U.S. government’s Financial Stability Plan.

1. Personal information
Personal information certainly does not mean that you need to include your personal hobbies and traits. You need to include your personal contact information through which the employer could get in touch with you. Contact information could include your telephone numbers and home address.
2. Resume objective
This is undoubtedly the most important part of your resume. A lot depends upon your resume objective. It is a short statement that portrays your aims and objectives. It should not exceed more than 5 – 6 words. A sample resume objective is given for your help: looking for a respectable position as a business lawyer in a decent firm.
3. Educational qualifications
Educational qualifications are also very important to include. I have studied law from a reputed law college. I also possess an associate degree that provides me an edge over other applicants.
4. Work experience and qualities
The employers are very much interested to know what all tasks you performed in your previous workplace. Mention a few lines regarding your previous employers as well. You could say that you assisted the firm in various legal law suits.
Weird Laws are dumb laws or crazy laws. These laws are not only stupid and impractical but also very irritating and illogical. Such laws can be seen in all parts of the world especially US.
Such weird laws make people laugh. For Example, in Alabama, you can find many such crazy laws such as; it is illegal to play dominoes on Sundays. It is illegal to wear fake mustaches in churches that make people laugh. Apart from these, there are other such weird laws in Alabama such as putting salt on a railroad track may be punishable by death, men may not spit in front of the opposite sex, masks may not be worn in public, solitaire may not be played on Sundays, bear wrestling matches are banned etc.
In Alaska also, you can find such laws. For example, huskies are not allowed in school buildings; no child can build a snowman taller than himself on school property; in Fairbanks, it is illegal to feed alcoholic beverages to Moose.
Certain laws of Arizona are not only weird but ridiculous also. In Arizona, Women cannot wear pants in Tucson and it is illegal to drive a car in Glendale. Also, it is unlawful to refuse a person, a glass of water. In Arkansas, men are allowed to beat their wives once a month, doesn’t it sound odd? Here, even dogs are not allowed to bark after 6 pm. So, better muzzle up your doggie’s mouth.
In California, women are not allowed to drive while wearing a housecoat and in Pacific Grove, ‘molesting’ butterflies can result in a $500 fine. Other dumb laws in California are: it is illegal to eat an orange in bath tub, it is illegal to prevent children from playfully jumping over puddles of water and it is illegal to have bath houses. Thank God! They have not made bathing illegal.
Most websites now include a reference to a privacy policy, a written statement that describes how a website collects and utilizes personally-identifiable information about its visitors. The inclusion of such a policy is often mandated by law or by interested third parties, such as advertisers. For example, the state of California requires that you display a privacy policy on your site if you collect personal information about California residents. Similarly,
Google requires participants in its AdSense advertising network to include privacy information on any site that displays AdSense advertisements. If you don’t already have a privacy policy on your website, it’s something you’ll be adding to it soon enough. Let’s go over some of the basics.
A privacy policy is meant to inform the visitor to a site about what personal information it collects about its users and what it does with that information. As such, the policy should be easily accessible to new users of a site – a link in the header or footer of the home page is often the best choice. It’s also advisable to link to it from the “about” page of the site. Some sites don’t have a separate page for the policy, but rather include it as a section within another page, such as the general terms of use for the site. It needs to be easily found, however, no matter where it is on the site.
